Please forgive me for not meeting you

I didn’t intend for things to end this way

But they did and life happens yet again

We might have been happen together

But I know now we may never be

Still there’s some hope for the future

As long as space and time continue their flow

And one of us thinks of what might have been

Please forgive me for not knowing you

I had no intention of ignoring you

But I did and life goes on yet again

We might have been miserable together

But I you know we weren’t meant to be

Still there are other people out there

As long as the cycle of life continues
