for wishing for sweet lips to kiss and warm skin to touch,

for yearning for laughter and lightness and joy,

for aching for smooth dark hair and deep brown eyes,

for starving for dinners and movies and tender passionate desserts,

for reminiscing about intoxicating bleu, and perfect sparkling white,

for waiting and waiting and waiting for the return of that brief and tiny taste of summer love,

for searching for softness when i can only find things that are hard, and sharp, and rigid, and cold,

and for missing something that was never real and never mine.

WOW! You have conveyed loneliness in a fresh way. The sense of missing someone close to you. You recounted all of the nice and lovely moments you had with them, as well as the delicious meals, as if you were the recipient. Regardless, you're missing something you never had. Every sentence in your poetry captivated me.
