I hear an abnormal voice that has saved my life

It’s an endearing force that has made me stronger

My once darkened path, enveloped by suffocating black, now has a guiding light

I am stagnant and frozen no longer

I was decaying, becoming everything I hate

Fearing that I was losing all that was at stake

I knew the consequences that were laid out in front of me

But out of reach was that sweet breath of relief
