Dear Blacky, I write through tears,
Seven days since you left my years.
Gone beyond the rainbow’s gate,
How do I cope with such a weight?
Your pawprints linger, soft yet deep,
As memories flood, my heart can’t keep.
Nine precious years we shared this space,
In every corner, I feel your grace.
When life felt bleak, and shadows grew,
You were the light that pulled me through.
In sickness, fear, or darkest night,
Your love made everything feel right.
A tiny pup with eyes so wise,
You saw through pain, cut through disguise.
With wagging tail and joyous cheer,
You held my heart, my sweet, my dear.
Now silence fills this empty room,
And every day feels touched by gloom.
But though you're gone, love still remains,
In whispered winds and gentle rains.
Blacky, my girl, you taught me love,
A bond that time can’t break or shove.
I'll hold you close, no need to part,
You live right here, within my heart.
