Forever Grumpy, Always Yours
Let’s Grow Old and Grumpy Together

From the moment we met, I just had a hunch,
We’d bicker ‘bout dinner and argue ‘bout lunch.
You’d grumble at traffic, I’d sigh at the rain,
Yet somehow, my dear, we’d do it again.
_ _ _
The WiFi’s too slow, the neighbors too loud,
Kids on our lawn? Not allowed!
The TV remote? Always misplaced,
Yet here we are, perfectly braced.
_ _ _
Your tea is too hot, my coffee too cold,
But hand in wrinkled hand, we’ll grow old.
We’ll fuss, we’ll sigh, we’ll moan, we’ll groan,
Yet nowhere feels right unless it’s our home.
_ _ _
So let’s gripe at the world, but stay side by side,
My lifelong curmudgeon, my love, my pride.
For through every grumble, each frown and each fight,
You’ll still be the best part of my life every night.
