So many unasked answers
the non-mysteries piling up
like yesterday's laundry
moved from the
bedroom chair to the
laundry room
next to the algebra
new equations with
so many variables
hunkered down
plotting points
waiting to jump out
and startle
the thunder flashes
into the room and the
lightning crashes
splitting the night air
with a mumbling lament
in the deep quiet
of the empty room
a raindrop falls
and echoes
unhidden
in secret
places.
