Forbidden Love

A poem about true love

By Nicole Published 5 years ago 1 min read
Celestial Dance by Michelle Montague

I stare at the moon,

Hoping you can see my reflection

I want you to see how much I miss you

How the smile on my face has left

The tears that never stop

Wishing that I can see my sun again

The love that the moon and the sun share is forbidden

As they run into each other for only a brief second

But as the sun rises, I truly start to think who made the biggest sacrifice

Is it the moon or is it the sun?

The moon was left in the darkness

Where she cried for the sun’s return

She cried and cried and cried

But he never came
