Forbearing Love
Continence of a pure heart,
That embraces one with such care.
The perseverance of a creature called mother,
Cannot be withheld from great treatment of another.
The word says, with meekness, with long-suffering we shall forbear one another
Teaching me to love, even one I would have never called my brother.
Having reverence for her grace,
keeping me in her presence
That I may never be misplaced.
I love the moments shared
Even accusations made, seemed like she never cared.
Whisking away with love, a child that is not her own.
The journeys I take, I sometimes fall short
Yet smothered in warmth and support.
Forbearing my disobedience, you lay your hands,
Uplifting my heart like angel’s band
Grace and peace be with you always,
Your forbearing love shall never lead me astray.
