I dig through the earth

promises of remedies

live in the dirt

and bloom amongst leaves

ancient medicine

from holy days

when wisdom reigned

truffles

and wormwood

amongst soot

and root

I find myself

longing to belong

to be whole

for my soul

to intermingle here

in the mycelium

so much so that I

might be sought after

like the morel

"Enchanting poem. The phrase 'to intermingle here in the mycelium' captures the desire for connection with nature and the sense of belonging. The image of the soul seeking to unite with the earth is wise and profound." 🍄🌞

  • Ohh this made me feel and smell forage. Nice work, nailed it again…
