For my own good, they say,

I must bear the pain today.

Endure the struggle, the strife,

To reach my goals in life.

They tell me to be strong,

And keep pushing all day long.

To work hard and never rest,

Until I am among the best.

But how much can I take?

How long until I break?

Is this really worth the toll,

On my heart, mind, and soul?

Perhaps it's time to pause,

And rethink these endless laws.

To embrace a different view,

And find a balance that's true.

For my own good, I know,

I must learn to ebb and flow.

To rest when I need it most,

And seek help from those who boast.

With self-care as my guide,

I'll face the challenges with pride.

And though the road may be tough,

I'll navigate it with love.
