For Kayla

Heartbreak in Haiku

By Kyle HulbertPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Undeserved silence

convicted without trial

condemned by my past

Who are you to judge

when you've asked me no questions

allowed no answers?

I flew high, fell far

when my wings were blown off by

that Monster called "Love"

Crashing to the ground

sawn off at the knees; I think

I'll lay here awhile

Spotted, inconstant

friends: the fallacy of "Love"

Glass shards in my heart! Nai hiruvalye Valimar.
