If I brought a blade of grass and made you a ring,
Would it make your precious heart sing?
If I told you you’re the most handsome when fresh out of bed,
Would you hang onto the sincerity of those words said?
If I told you that you’ve invaded my mind,
And time would mean nothing if it wasn’t spent with you,
Would you count the seconds it took for your lips to offer me a better view?
If I took your hand and placed it on my heart and said darling this is your home,
Would you choose to vacation there over Paris and Rome?
If I were to whisper simple sweet nothings into your ear,
Would you hear the faint sounds of love loud and clear?
If I wrote you poems and read them to you aloud,
Would you listen to the words and cherish their meaning,
Knowing that they were written with my entire being?
