Footprints in the Sand
A Love Sketched by the Waves

On the edge of dawn, with skies so gray,
Tom walks alone where seagulls play.
The whispering waves, they ebb and flow,
Like his heart that aches for Liza’s glow.
Miles apart, yet close in thought,
He feels her warmth, though she's not.
With each soft step upon the shore,
Memories linger, he loves her more.
He kneels to draw her face so clear,
A sketch of love held ever dear.
Her laughing eyes, her gentle grace,
In sand, he carves her cherished face.

The tide rolls in, the sketch will fade,
But in his heart, she’s always stayed.
For distance parts but can't erase,
The love that lives in time and space.
