The hot searing sting

of heartbreak

on my cheeks

the hurt

that you refuse

to hear

the ache

that you refuse

to own

the broken glass house

I somehow own

when you

hold all the

stones

If it takes two to Tango

why am I always

dancing

alone

And how am I always

to blame

when I am always

on my own

you would power wash cobwebs

out of your eves

but when

will you power wash

you and me

You say relax

and expect me to follow

just another pill

I'm prescribed

to swallow

barefoot

in the kitchen

quiet

as if it's an alter

...

NO

...

it's OK to not be ok

it's OK to question

things that you say

It's not a middle east war

to wonder what

the comments

are for.

& I won't follow the path

that I've so often followed

before...

...

I deserve more

Oh my gosh ... I thought the opening was powerful and incredibly relatable, but the end ... it hits so so hard! That punch of 'I deserve more' after that build up! Amazing work! 🩷
