fly me through rooms

Take your sweet rhyme

By Rowan Finley Published 2 years ago 1 min read

fly me through rooms

where food smells cozy

where love runs rosy

fly me through rooms

where songs and lyrics swell

where walls and floors, secrets tell

fly me through rooms

where blankets confront

where memories hunt

fly me through rooms

where God answers prayers

where treasure chests hide downstairs

fly me through rooms

where kisses echo

where I can be a gecko

fly me through rooms

with real people, who aren’t paper

where sadness will forever taper

fly me through rooms

where the baby coos

where it’s quite alright to sing the blues

fly me through rooms

where fireplaces reminisce and remind

where, toward my heart, they aren’t blind

May you always find rooms that welcome you whole—messy heart, singing soul and all.🚪
