Floating Away
Lackluster carousels of mundanity

Floating away, day by day,
Thoughts become lackluster carousels of mundanity,
Dubiety hangs on exhibition walls, on full display.
As reflexive as sneezing,
You fall victim to subconscious patterns of the mind,
Seeking out risk to evade all that is ordinary,
Craving a sweet escape from this prosaic time.
.
Catastrophe follows you like a shadow.
Still, you remain, floating, not sinking,
To the depths and juxtaposition of unimaginativeness and creativity.
Even the wind holds its breath, with no inkling as to where you may land.
And whether you are a dead leaf or a snowflake, you do not know,
But you will add splendor to the world by becoming one with Fall colors or the glistening snow.
