At 30,000 feet time below stands still
Admiring the cities, waterways created by will
Pearly white clouds hues of sky blue
Prior to this year don't recall the last time I flew
Portions of cities resemble death on inhabited
Reason for my trip pay homage to a life I once knew
Packed seats, little elbow room, rough ride its's dreary
Falling 30,000 feet let it go that thought is scary
Filter my thoughts in remeberance of my loved one
Another munite, another day, another memory just one
I'd like to tell you about my flight and the turbulence we incurred
Thoughts of you aborted as the Captain's message disturbed
There are no safety belts in life, parachutes or harnesses
Free falling through life's experiences is all that seems to exist
We've had those conversations a thousand times but never on a flight
What I wouldnt give to have that moment with you especially during this flight
