I cannot seem to help the fashion in which I stand,
as a platter of, buffet-style, emotional vulnerability.
I hope the quickening of my heartbeat isn’t too obvious or too loud.
Perchance, I need a thicker coat to muffle the sound of my starving heart.
I just but glance at you,
and the intuition in me,
it knows that your mind is a deep well of wonderment.
Is it so awful for me to long for a drink from your thoughts?
I’m striving to be the most patient version of me that I can possibly be.
I spy you in the layers of the sunsetting sky, and I inhale, then let out another fleeting sigh.

A delicate thoughtful and beautifully expressive piece that captures quiet yearning exquisitely.
I like this. It’s seeing and feeling that connection; wanting to draw closer. I love the line “I need a thicker coat to muffle the sound of my starving heart.” Beautiful
Oh this is so soft and tender in the best way like emotional cotton candy.🍭 The “drink from your thoughts” line? Elite.
