''Fading Softly, after a while''

A raindrop clings to a trembling leaf,

Glistening in the morning light,

A perfect world in a fragile sphere,

Gone with the breeze, out of sight.

Laughter echoes in a crowded room,

A shared glance, a knowing smile,

These moments linger, brief and bright,

Fading softly, after a while.

A butterfly’s wings, a whispered touch,

A sunset’s last, lingering glow,

In all we cherish, yet let go.

Like sand that’s carried by the sea,

A breath, a blink, a memory.

Hold them close, for soon they fade,

Fleeting moments, gently laid.
