Where is my Home?

Home,

an ambiguous concept

i have been adrift without a true Home

Home isn't the place i live in

rather Home is a feeling

of safety

of love

the place where i can fall apart

a place i feel safe and light

you showed me what a true home felt like

until you too, cast me out into the wind

i found Home once among the ancient trees

a place where i felt a deep sense of peace

i find Home in the flow of writing

alternate universes

and imagined lives

by the ocean

in the sound of the waves

and the taste of salt on the air

still i am searching for a permanent

Home to settle into

sad poetry
