Flash and it's Different

It can all change in a flash

By Phillip LoFasoPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
A change in the weather and the outdoor party is over

Flash and it’s different

Something’s gone wrong

Someone’s gone or a city falls

A change in the weather and the

Outdoor party’s over

Move it inside,

Dig out from the rubble,

Say hey, say goodbye,

Make all the arrangements,

But get over it `cause

Flash and it’s different

Disbelieve, deny,

Cry, ask why,

Regret and accept

Get stuck and your shit out of luck

A cold front takes holiday there in the tropics

A tiny lump or who knew that damn thing was loaded

Mom just turned her back for a second,

And how can that be, he only slept with her once

In lightening and thunder,

Get under the covers like lovers

Embrace the horror

Then wake up tomorrow

With a fresh perspective,

With corrective lenses

See it differently `cause

Flash and it's different

A slick road, flash!

Shifting plates and earthquakes, flash!

Cheap lights and a dry tree, flash!

Two jets and two towers, flash!

“I don’t see how one could hurt”, flash!

Let's give the business man a shot, flash!

One flash, and it's all different...
