Fixation
Twisted and spiraled
Streams of light
Illuminating reflections
Recorded by sight
Synesthetic eyes
Finding the melodic taste
Of beauty in life’s delight
The artistry in pain
I am misunderstood
The reason I change
With a brushing stroke
I color my name
With sounds of music
I reason my purpose
The yellow, the Blues
The laughter in the hurt was
To bring a smile
Healing the tears of red
Purpling away my fears
I proudly embrace
Who I am and who I was
How I will and who I’ll be
Without rosey glasses
And blissful fantasy
I choose to pick
The chaotic brush
Swinging heaven low
With lightest touch, yet heaviest blow
