Five Feet Apart

Written by @whisperofwords

By M Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Distant and isolated,

Confined with no exit

Almost imprisoned, Left unattended for my needs,

When I earn for the desire of love,

My shortness of breaths to get to you,

The one I love.

I have traveled to find the one so close to me,

Yet so far.

It’s when I am with you.

My time of life stops, like my heart can do without.

I would bypass my lovers for you.

The veins in my body relax when you are near,

When more than five feet.

Falling in love with you is like free falling with the adrenaline peaking high,

I wish you were closer,

Your hands interlocking mine, as if it was meant to be

I want your smell to fill my lungs like you are my drug.

Overdosing on you would be a sacrifice I could make

One with no hesitation

Come closer than five feet,

Breath the same breathes as me

Take my hand and let’s travel the world,

A one way ticket anywhere with you

This life is for us. We are destined in the stars that light up the same night skies as each other,

The same moon that reflects the broken waves on either side of the world,

So come.

Come five feet closer to me

I ask.

No.

I beg.
