First Kiss Sonnet

Beach Kiss

By Carrie GuffyPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The sun is shining, clear is day

Toes chilled by the waves embrace

The birds showcase their wild display

Shy slow fingers interlace

A kiss as soft as a rose petal

A slight giggle escapes her lips

Oh, he is the epitome of a devil

But oh, so mysterious like a dawn eclipse

Time stands still as if forever

That first kiss like bee’s honey

Pure, sweet, and innocent pleasure

But tempting and taunting like the sea

First love’s kiss so young and true

Will fade to memory about someone she knew
