Trust is a fragile commodity, difficult to earn, easy to break. That fragility contributes to the frailty of relationships.

It is a worthy investment, one that’s necessary to build and preserve. Enjoy how the five senses explore trust.

I see your certain handshake, unwavering,

Hear your vows thrum like a steady pulse.

The smell of your presence, constant and unfailing

The taste of silent air, truths left unspoken.

And the touch of your handβ€”once firm, now slipping away.

I loved how reflective this poem is, Michelle. Once lost, trust is really hard to regain but it is also so fundamental to human relationships.
