Fired Thoughts

Somewhere Between Here and There

By Harrison July HamlettPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

A dim witted, suit fitted, Calvanist mortician

Me an embalmed, tag along, severe lack of contrition

Fluorescent divine darkness, cubicle coffin, purgatorious condition

Supervisor castigates my industriousness, “fuck, did I do the dishes?"

Vulturous chirps, atop authoritarian perch,’terminated, effective immediately’

Beg your pardon, lies on the jenny, shackled by angst just fleetingly

No rise threatens corporate supremacy, his hope iId go more obediently

What to eat tonight, menu list post fight, hands tick on, repeatedly

Years spun in toil, lapse of freedom, praised as chattel

Professionally balked it’s the metics fault, relieve me of this prattle

Reduced to pebble atop absurd’s space rock, a futile, continuous battle

Third grade caught, same type of fault, wonder “who’s the tattle?’”

An enfilade of suffering is a ceaseless barrage, toss it on the list

Societal appraised loaf, abrupt anxiety, and lacks the loss of bliss

Not fair, my fault, conventional callousness says fuck fates kiss

Willed to power, ignorant to constructural babble, ready to exist
