Fire

Alight, Ablaze, Ashes

Burning, Burnt, Bussin'

Coals, Cooked, Cracking?

Shoot, fire & apple butter!

If I were a monkey's uncle,

And graaanny goose

On or under.

Off and Away.

heated, cool.

Sizzling in the frying pan

or out, aflame

bonny bonfires, yuppy yuletides, campy campgrounds

potshots at shot pots

lined up at lineups

pitted at trenches. entrenched at the pit.

voidlessly avoiding the void

echo, call & response

stomping barns, yards, and curbs

baking bread and brittle bones

roasting the bird

or Birthing anew

damned? or cleansed?

Fire

("And then a small, tiny voice whispered, 'Minimum word count achieved.'")

About the Creator

M.L. Ross

The thoughts, stories, ideas, nonsense piling up in my mind have reached critical mass. Sometimes they're coherent enough to share directly, sometimes they have to filter through the Robit first.
