Walking into a room filled with fire

Throwing caution to wind making sure everyone is safe

Not knowing if he’ll ever get back to his home

Regardless he jumps in and is always ready to help

No matter the situation

He’s a great man indeed

The type of person we need

So much flames that it lights up the sky

Blue skies turning red

No more oxygen, inhaling smoke instead

He loved helping and he loves to give his all

He would jump inside the building even tho he knew it was surely meant to fall

He was there whenever he got the call

He was scared at times but he never showed, he made sure he stood tall

The people around looked up to him and the man that he was

He didn’t do it for the recognition he did it because it was just who he was

And he did it to help and there was no because

He did what he did, not cause he had to

He did it because he wanted to

He knew the struggle of his life and he wanted to make a difference

He doesn’t think about himself when he’s saving other people

He risks his life for other people

saving them is most important

Nothing means more to him than to save a life

To Save a wife, a husband and kids just in time

He’s a hero

He’s not a fictional character

He’s a hero

Courageous and powerful and boundless care for people

Black, Asian, white, Hispanic

He doesn’t see a race, he sees them all as people

A great individual who never asked for much

No matter what was going on you could always count on him.

His name was John

We called him Johnny

He wasn’t always serious, he was actually incredibly funny

John was a man of the people and the people loved him dearly

inspirational
