Finding Sunlight

In the wake, I'm no longer running into the dark

My nails are growing too long

Yet I'm not afraid to reach for the distance

Every step in this forest

I can feel every breath and every animal

Somewhere I found something majestic

Even if my eyes are sore

But it's the most beautiful I have ever felt

Somehow I believe it's the dream

Bringing life into me

But how can I complain?

Running my hands on every bark

Trying to make sense

When nature didn't have order

Looking for lines and I know I must've missed it

Their was no winning or losing

Just lessons

As the river runs over rocks effortlessly and taking of piece off

Then thunder roaring the skies

Lighting striking my foot

The impact

The fall

I understand now

This was home, not a place
