Finding Peace in a Cup of Tea

K2

By James GreenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Bishop in his chamber sits and thinks,

As he sips his tea, his mind it sinks.

He ponders the weight of his holy duties,

As he tends to his flock, a shepherd with beauties.

He meditates on the mysteries of faith,

And the nature of love, with its endless wait.

He considers the ways in which he must lead,

And the burden of choice, with its endless need.

He wonders at the complexities of the human soul,

And the beauty of truth, with its endless toll.

He reflects on the sufferings of this mortal life,

And the peace that comes from sacrificing strife.

But as he sits and thinks in his quiet chamber,

He finds solace in the simple pleasures of a cup of tea and a kind amber.

For in the stillness of contemplation,

He is reminded of the beauty and truth of creation.
