L O V E

I have never seen true fireworks until the night

I saw your eyes react with the moonlight.

I have never heard the magic of music

until the evening you whispered your

secrets into the crypts of my ears.

I have never known compassion

until the morning you spilled

your runny heart all over my

bacon and eggs. I have never

felt balance until that long

weekend when we first

held hands. I have never

known love until you left

us all behind. But then

I found love. The truest

of the kind. The love I

already had inside of

myself. The love I

thought was

blind.
