Finality

is finality really that bad?

Finality is much debated

Is it a bad thing? Can we abate it?

~

We’re all scared of the end, at curtain call

Did we get what we wanted at all?

Time is finite, never ample

It's always a fight and a gamble

Life’s rife with strife for more time

To build something that remains sublime

~

You’re right, time is forever running out

Never allowing for much throughout

Always fast

Never surpassed

And we’re always left in doubt

~

Ah! But would you work hard if you knew

That life is infinite, with no end in view

Or would you procrastinate and laze

Knowing that tomorrow is no longer a haze

Its hard to say for sure or procure

A definite answer that’s complete and pure

But do the best you can in the here and now

And don’t worry about the end for now.
