Fighting Through Views

A Poem

By Jessica BurbyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The world and me

are fighting for sanity

with each conflicting view

Our humanity is slipping through

Sending me down different avenues

Trying to find the slightest clue

who to trust?

who knows best?

How do I sift through this mess?

And continue on, like the rest

How do I find peace in my chest?

When love is turned to unrest

And my views feel like torment

There's no advice

to give my mind

That can bring back time

and erase our sanity's crime

From my views that you undermine

Which way is right?

Which way is left?

If I don't wake up

I'll walk off their cliff

Meant to keep you in a docile bliss

Is this the view, I missed?
