Festive Decorations Necessary?
When nature's baubles are there year-round

I went for a rainy nature walk
and came back
to see people on their roofs,
in their garages and yards,
taking down decorations,
disassembling them,
putting them away in boxes
to be used next autumn.
I smiled a little.
I didn’t put anything up,
so, I don’t have to take anything down.
Because I am a part of nature,
it puts on so many displays
all year round,
and I am so busy admiring that
I never felt the need
to add plastic things—
things that poison the ocean
and become obstacles for birds.
I don’t think many feel
the way I do.
But it is important
to minimize our consumption
and think about other creatures.
So, I write my perspective.

You are right on this one Seems, but I do put up a few colored lights outside but that is about it.
I'm a minimalist so I'm not into decoration. But you're right, nature by itself is a beautiful decoration!
I always put them up out side but as respect to my brother and sister both my brother in law dying 3 years ago and my sister in law Brenda year in Ben we haven’t put up they are both have a hard time😢😢😢
