Can we go back to the times of old,
When calmness and stillness reigned,
But freedom and justice were maintained?
Can we go back to the values we once cherished?
Faithfulness and loyalty, we all professed since infancy,
But what do we do today?
What has happened to the servitude we all once professed?
The servitude which our posterity profess today?
Can we turn our heads back and pick up,
The highly priced gems we've lost?
As Nananom would say, 'Sankofa'.
Can we go back to upholding and defending,
The good name of Ghana as we once did?
Can we not let the toil of our forefathers be in vain?
For posterity depends on the decisions,
That you and I will make today,
Posterity depends on your choices,
So choose wisely!
