Feigned love

"abused woman"

abused woman

in marriage

keeping her rictus smile active

trembling

with a twisted mouth

another day

still in it,

in her marriage

smile

to keep it brimming

feigned love

in their house

with her abusive man

whether she's wrong,

else she's right

she apologize

to keep it brimming

That's how her

marriage survives

through fear

lies

betrayal

whether she's right

she doesn't mention it,

She better shut up

to keep it active

else thunderstorms

and strong winds

of her husband's anger

will destroy it,

arguments

taking place

destroying

What they both had built

over the years

sadness and tears

in her daily life.

She knows there is no peace.

That was so sad. Hope she can get out of this marriage. Loved your poem.

  • Oh even though it is sad it might be the bitter truth.
