Fearfully Passionate
A Poem for Those Who Are Scared to Love
By Jessa GoodPublished 8 years ago • 1 min read

A low whistle in the dark
Lips lock together in desire
The night pierced by a spark
It quickly turns to fire
Your palms run across me
Holding each other in fear
Feel the wind in the trees
Your words are like a spear
My heart pulses to your rhythm
Frightened by the steam in our breath
Our hands move like a religion
Wipe away tears of death
Our last moments together
More passionate than a lifetime
Put on a face like leather
Know we were never a crime
Fingers roam the soft edges
Yet our names will soon be gone
Unlock the emotional fences
Our love will live on
