Fear of Heights

A Poetic Exploration of the Terror and Thrill of High Places

By new kingPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Fear of heights, it grips the heart

A terror that sets us apart

The thought of falling, it haunts the mind

A sensation that's hard to unwind

With every step, a dizzying view

A feeling that's hard to subdue

The ground below, it seems so far

A sensation that sets our hearts at war

Fear of heights, it fills us with dread

A sensation that's hard to shed

But in that fear, there's also a thrill

A sensation that makes us feel alive still

For when we conquer that towering height

We feel a sense of pure delight

The wind in our hair, the sun on our face

A sensation that's hard to replace

So let us embrace the fear of heights

A sensation that's worth the fights

For in that fear, there's also a thrill

A sensation that makes us feel alive still.
