What is there to be afraid of, really?

Have we not, as the mighty human species, learnt enough from the world, from Nature, from ourselves, to void any such fears that can arise?

Everything that happens, happened before. And will keep happening forever! Let me repeat myself once more;

What is there to be afraid of, really?

The unknown? Change, loss of control, other people, suffering, confusion, perhaps terrible epiphanies, or loneliness, rejection... Hell, even the fear of fear?

What triffling nonsense.

Fear, anxiety and paralysis : merely symptoms of the weak! The weak indeed, scared at the sight of a shifting shadow and a strange noise, frightened by an unknown sensation, of any similar stuff.

So quick the weak are to collapse on themselves and hide, hide away under the bedsheets, rendered motionless, paradoxically their minds spirals in panic much akin to schools of fish hopelessly panicking around clouds of dust, unable to see things with eyes unclouded.

Such existence is worthy of loathing, of hate even. For that is the path of ignorance, of the child shivering in the dark, unable to take even a step forward even through he knows by heart the layout of his room.

There is no difference between a dark room and a well-lit one, except from our perception. Therefore any fantasies such as monsters and ghosts lurking in the shadows are but fantasies as well.

Stop crying, you sniveling ass!

How many years do you need, of the same worldly experiences, repeating themselves ever more, before you grow confident in yourself? Look around you, assess everything for what it is.

What is the cause of my fear? Do I need to be worried of anything? If so, take steps toward safety and peace of mind. If not, why then are you afraid?

The ultimate state of existence is relaxation; to idle in complete preparedness, to be completely confident in yourself, ready to face whatever the world throws at you.

Remember, you are not a mere cowardly creature meant to shrivel in fear, you are dynamite!

Rise up and reach for the fruit, even though you've never tasted it.

Rise up and reach for the stars, revel in Nature's beauty. Gaze at the world with grateful eyes, and step forward, nay, leap forward in the darkness that is life!

What is there to be afraid of, really?

Absolutely nothing, my friend.

For there is within all of us an invincible summer. An unfathomable potential, and it's our duty to realize it all, to live truly, to cast away our fears, our doubts, our shackles,

and bite brazenly in the gushing fruit that is life.
