Fault Line

We Could Be Beautiful

By Sara RosePublished 6 years ago 1 min read
Fault Line - Sara Rose

Fault lines drawn all over

Your body, your mind, your lost soul

Sitting below the surface

Unseen where truth meets stories untold

Leave me in the center of my heart

Being someone I’m not never got me far

With every vein screaming “you’re right”

Oh, I’m bound to crack this time

Arms wide open, heart open wide

I’m teetering on the edge of risk

Breathing to unwind

Love, oh love of mine

Is where weakness and strength collide

This is the fault line

Doesn’t matter where I go to feel

The push against the ranges this ride sees

Maybe I just feel too much

But you are never too broken to be loved

I’m afraid to see what’s been aging in my heart

But not listening to its pulling all affection apart

When we’re convinced we’re broken

We are just broken open

Waver my confidence, stress fracture to my plans

It won’t overcome the self-worth in the map on my hand

Arms wide open, heart open wide

I’m teetering on the edge of risk

Breathing to unwind

Love, oh love of mine

Is where weakness and strength collide

This is the fault line

Love, oh love of mine

Love, oh love of mine

Love, oh love of mine

Love, oh love of mine

Arms wide open, heart open wide

I’m teetering on the edge of risk

Breathing to unwind

Love, oh love of mine

Is where weakness and strength collide

This is the fault line
