A Father's Legacy
Beneath the oak where shadows softly fall,
You stand, my father, resolute and tall.
Your hands, calloused from labor’s endless call,
Built worlds for us, unyielding through it all.
Each wrinkle tells of sacrifice and care,
Of midnight worries whispered in the air.
You taught me how to face the bitter storm,
To hold my ground when life’s tempests form.
Your quiet strength, a compass in the night,
Guided me through doubt to find the light.
With every tale of battles you’d endured,
You showed me grit, and dreams that rest assured.
No crown you wore, no fanfare marked your way,
Yet love was woven in all you’d do and say.
From teaching me to fish at dawn’s first gleam,
To cheering loud for every childish dream,
Your heart’s a hearth, its warmth will never fade,
A legacy of memories you’ve made.
Though years may pass, your lessons carve the stone,
My father, you’re the roots I’ll always own.
