Fascinating fronds
Feeling the fern

Fascinating fronds you feel so fine
The touch of the tips of your fingers on mine
Elicits a memory cast in antiquity
Of dinosaurs demons and other such mystery
Each springtime your magic unravels anew
Emerging from slumber amazing to view
Your morning’s stretch testing the dew and the frost
Diamonds alike geometrical host
If you haven’t yet tried it I’m sure you’ll discern
There’s nothing quite like
The feel of a fern

Love this! Ferns are such interesting plants!
This is an unusually good poem. The fern is one of my favorite plants. As a side note… this somewhat feels like a Michael Franks lyric. Whimsical yet thought provoking.
Exactly. You are spot on with this poem. They are a plant that might look plain but looking at them closer will see that the fern is well worth the plant.
You’re right. There is something amazing about the fern and knowing it has been on the earth longer than us.
I love how this made me pause and really imagine the moment. Simple and beautiful.
Beautiful! Your poetry does the fern justice.
WOW! This was exquisitely-written and uber-creative! Well done Raymond well done!
I love your poem. Simple thing like a fern can inspire a beautiful poem
Well, I do like eating fern hehehehe. Loved your poem. And your photo had a dreamlike quality to it, so beautiful!
