Farewell

A Breakup Nonet Poem

By Cindy CalderPublished about a year ago 1 min read

My heart now spoke with a hard, cold stare,

Twisted remnants of withered care.

“No more, I beg. Please just go.

Love’s flame no longer glows.”

“Don’t make me,” he screamed.

“You’ll kill our dream.”

Dream? Farewell

Nightmare’s

Hell.
