Farewell

The Last Embrace

By layali mumtazPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

In the quiet of the twilight, where shadows softly play,

Two hearts once entwined, now find their separate way.

The echoes of our laughter, like whispers in the wind,

Are memories we cherish, though our chapter has to end.

Beneath the fading sunlight, where dreams began to bloom,

We stand as silent strangers, in a melancholy room.

Our eyes speak volumes, words fail to convey,

The love we once held dearly, now slowly slips away.

Hands that once held tightly, now gently release,

A bittersweet departure, a longing for peace.

The promise of tomorrow, now a distant, hazy shore,

As we turn to walk our paths, together nevermore.

Though tears may fall like rain, and hearts may feel the pain,

The love we shared will linger, in sunshine and in rain.

For in the end, my dear, as we bid our last goodbye,

Our love's eternal whisper will forever fill the sky.
