Fanciful whimsy
Tilting at windmills. Poppy's September prompt.

Barefoot, she dances upon clouds
Her prowess with a sword is second to none
She tilts at windmills, ousting candles upon the wind
Ace, they named her, top of the class
Light as a feather, she vanquishes her foes
Whilst chasing rainbows and dreams in moonlight's glow
One star-kissed night a miracle appeared
A kindred soul, like minded, carefree and wild
She met Don Quixote and together, they slew imaginary dragons
They fell in love, while stars twinkled merrily
and lived happily ever after
causing fractures across time and space
as lovers sang praises
and lit candles in windows across the land
Now the world is a happier place
As everlasting love now twinkles in the stars above.

Ooh I adore this! I love how it feels almost like a ballad. The whimsical tone makes it such a lovely read. I especially like the line about the dragons. Well done!
