Falling in love

I used to think love was something sweeter—

Softer, kinder, a gentle embrace.

But I was wrong.

Love is far more violent.

Falling for someone feels like tearing flesh from bone,

An agony you willingly endure.

It’s a collision of passion and pain,

An ache that consumes,

Leaving you raw,

Yet craving more.

I think you captured the soul of love as a pain filled agony both loved and not loved beautifully.

Love is many of these things. This is certainly one type, a type that changed you and decided who you are when all the pieces have went back together, well done!
