Fallen Angel

Escaping the darkness

By Bruno LopesPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Woke up in the middle of the night

Too hot to sleep I can feel the fires of hell

The demons are coming I can already tell

their touch burns my skin as I yell

But there's one sound that pushed them away

The sound of the church bell

They return to the shadows

But they are always there waiting

And those red glowing eyes show in the dark pulsating

They whisper things to tempt me

and as they lose their temper they start to scream like a banshee

I will not give in, I have fallen but I'm not lost

I will not turn to the dark

No power, no flame, and no frost are worth the cost of freedom lost

My wings are broken but they will heal

The pain is great but with it, I must deal

I will walk in the light

And may it forever shine bright.
