Fall

a sensory poem

Fall

The sidewalk floods in front of us, puddles rippling over and over again,

socks squish beneath our feet in soaked-through sneakers,

droplets tap, tap, tap the tip-tops of our umbrellas,

we sip rich hot cocoa like liquid gold, savoring the taste,

and it finally smells and feels like fall.

This poem absolutely feels like fall! I love your depiction of hot cocoa.

  • Hot Cocoa on a rainy autumn day is the best way to savor the smell of the chocolate and taste the warmth in your mouth as one stares out the window to the falling leaves and raindrops. 🍁🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
