Fading Portrait

Your smile, a memory, fading with time,

A ghostly image, once so sublime,

The colors dim, the canvas wears thin,

As life draws the lines where joy had been.

In the stillness, your laughter is lost,

An echo drowned in a sea of cost,

Yet I reach out, to touch your face,

But find only shadows in your place.
