Faded

Night in full color

By Michael Boulatsakos Published 5 years ago 1 min read
Night in the light

Like a wave upon the golden grains

The pitch black night comes in

smashing all it looks upon

Engulfing everything

Once the colors lit the sky

like the sunrays lit my heart

now nothing can see an inch

its been torn well apart

What is left when all is black

But darkness all around

Demons crying in the distance

waiting to be found

Nothing can escape the darkness

black thick

I cant breathe

let the bleak screaming night

eat me from within

Then as the moon is crying

and starts to fade away

going to that long lost place

that it goes to everyday

My thoughts turn back to times

when kisses touched my face

Something in my dna

finds love again to embrace

I wonder what it is

the thing that kills the night

As simple as a women's touch

a soul to hold you tight ?

Then the darkness fades away

The light comes pouring in

not a single evil thought

within ones mind can swim

No moon that's left now crying

No deep dark howling night

For if you have a glimpse of hope

You will be alright .
